Taking things slow, squash, ping pong, luxury resort!
Thomas Sanlis
Hey 👋🏻!
You're going to be super proud of me: I slept 8 hours 😎. It took me over 2 weeks to get back to an effective sleep cycle!!
Anyway, today was really great: squash, ping-pong, social Friday, and a bit of work too.
Like most of the recent days, I spent the morning working. It's been a while since I shipped a big feature on Uneed or Writizzy: I'm mostly busy refining the design, fixing bugs, doing some marketing, and SEO.
By the way, I'm going to take advantage of this post to talk about an interesting topic regarding Writizzy: EVERYONE constantly asks us for new features, it's incredible 😂. And yet, we say no to 90% of them... I'll talk more about this just after.
As I was saying, this afternoon was squash and ping pong 🙌🏻! We rented a squash court at a huge resort by the sea with Hassan, Kira, Fai, Minh-Phuc and Alex. It was really great 🥰!
The place was incredible, and I have to admit I'm tempted to book a night or two there just to... do nothing but play squash 😂!

It had been a long time since I played squash, and let me tell you one thing: it's the most intense sport that exists 😂. You can end up completely dead in less than fifteen minutes!
We then continued with Social Friday. For those who haven't been following along, every Friday at the Hacker Residency, we open the doors to anyone who wants to come spend time with us. Even though I didn't stay very long, I met lots of really nice people, it was great :). It's crazy how this indie hacker community is only made up of open and nice people!
As promised, before finishing this post, I'm going to talk briefly about Hugo's and my philosophy regarding Writizzy 👀.
With Hugo, my cofounder, we have an advantage and luck that few indie hackers have: we have time.
And that's great, because it perfectly matches the tool we want to build: a blogging platform that favors long and well-crafted content, rather than the dopamine hits you find on tiktok.
With Writizzy, we're in for a journey that will last quite a while. And we're kind of going against the grain of what's being done today in indie hacking:
Time will tell if we're right or not!
NB: I can't take it anymore, I want to ride my bike 😭😭😭
See you tomorrow 👋🏻
