It's finally happening: the Uneed Residency has started!
I'm sitting in the Manor's garden after a long day of welcoming, prepping, and driving. I'm tired, and I honestly can't wait to go home and sleep π, but I really want to write and publish this first post.
This first day was incredible, way beyond my expectations.

I spent a huge part of it driving the residents from the train station to the manor, showing them their rooms, cooking lunch, answering emails and messages, and so on. People started arriving one by one, and as the day went on, I could feel the energy and the atmosphere shifting. Everyone is super nice and eager to meet other indie hackers, it's so motivating to see π.

At the end of the day, while everyone was enjoying their pizzas, we did a small kickoff to properly start the Residency, go over the planning, and so on. I was a bit nervous to speak in front of so many people at first haha, but I think it went great!

Tomorrow morning, we're going cycling with Benjamin, Filip and Dmytro! Then we'll have a quick workshop with everyone during lunch (no spoilers!). In the evening, we'll share a big French meal served by "Cheese and Friends", my favorite restaurant π.
Quick note: it's REALLY hot in Nantes right now: 35 degrees all day long. It's extremely unusual; we even broke a historical record! Still better than rain of course, but I hope it won't wear everyone out too much during the week.
I'll share more content and more pictures tomorrow ππ»
PS: if youβre a subscriber to my newsletter, you will receive this first post, but not the others. I donβt want to spam your inbox, so youβll have to come everyday π
See you then, Thomas
